Who we are

Solar One Energy (SOE) has been active in the New York City solar industry since 2008. Solar One Energy designs, installs, and consults solar systems both domestically and internationally, providing commercial, industrial, not for profit, cooperative/condominium, multifamily, and residential building owners with long-term savings on their electric bills. With experienced NABCEP Solar Design, NYC licensed electricians and OSHA certified personnel in-house, this well qualified team brings local knowledge of the New York City procedures and electric codes.

Solar One Energy has extensive experience with the various AHJs local to New York City requirements including Con Ed, DOB, FDNY, DOF, PDC, EAB, as well as special requirements of the NYC version of the National Electric Code, roofing warranties, and NYC floodplains.

SOE's headquarters are in Long Island City and is part of the Green Desk family, which is a facility committed to sustainable business operations (including LED lighting, recycled floors, recycling of plastics, paper, and cardboard), close to the M and R trains on 36th street and N, R, W trains on 39th Avenue. Our employees use the subway and mass transit to reach our offices and we frequently use public transportation for maintenance or sales calls in NYC neighborhoods.
